01Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and ConnectGRC ("ConnectGRC," "we," "us") and govern your access to and use of the ConnectGRC website, voice assessment, AI-powered tools, and any other services we offer (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
02Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may only create one personal account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent assessment retake cooldowns or other usage limits is a breach of these Terms.
03Voice assessment and AI features
The Service includes a voice-based GRC competency assessment. Participation is voluntary. Before any audio capture begins we present a separate consent dialog disclosing what we record, how it is processed, and how long we retain it. By proceeding you give explicit, specific, and informed consent to that processing under GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and (where applicable) Article 9(2)(a).
AI-generated outputs — including assessment tiers, scores, written feedback, and career-pathway suggestions — are produced by automated systems and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not employment decisions, qualifications, or professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness-for-purpose of AI outputs.
You retain ownership of the answers you provide. We retain the right to use anonymised, aggregated data derived from your interactions to improve the Service. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others, or to submit content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Attempt to access the Service through any interface other than the ones we provide, or otherwise probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product, including by scraping our content, golden answers, or scoring outputs.
- Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or experience in profile data or assessment answers.
- Use automation (bots, scripts, voice-synthesis) to complete the assessment on your behalf. The assessment exists to evaluate your competency.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without notice when necessary to protect the Service or other users.
05Your content
"Your Content" means anything you submit to the Service: profile information, résumés, assessment answers, transcripts, career goals, and so on. You retain all intellectual-property rights in Your Content.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely as needed to provide the Service to you, and to use anonymised derivatives to improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content (subject to brief retention in backups and our regulatory obligations).
06Our intellectual property
The Service — including the platform, design, brand, golden-answer rubrics, question bank, scoring models, and all other content we provide — is owned by ConnectGRC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or to copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Service.
07Fees and billing
The Service is currently free to use for candidate accounts. We will give clear notice before introducing paid features and you can stop using the Service at any time. Employer accounts may be subject to separate commercial terms communicated at signup.
08Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the profile privacy page. Subject to legal obligations, we will erase your personal data on request — see the Your rights section of our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your account becomes inactive for an extended period, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will give advance notice and an opportunity to export your data.
09Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConnectGRC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability. Your statutory consumer rights, where they apply, are not affected by this section.
10Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConnectGRC and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) £100 / €100 / $100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold ConnectGRC harmless from any third- party claim arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, including reasonable legal fees, except to the extent the claim arises from our negligence or wilful misconduct.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify signed-in users via the in-product notification surface and email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The version number and last-updated date at the top of this page are the canonical record.
13Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that you may have additional protections under the consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that this section does not displace.
